There are a ton of questions when it comes to starting therapy or coaching.

We’ve got answers. If you don't see the answer to your question below, we're happy to talk to you by phone.

FAQs. The basics

  • Our primary office is in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, with a 2nd office in Lafayette Hill, PA where Dana sees clients.

  • Yes.

We provide in-person therapy + coaching sessions at our main office in Philadelphia.

Dana also offers in-person therapy + coaching at our second office in Lafayette Hill.

  • Yes.

We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video sessions (online therapy) for anyone located anywhere in Pennsylvania. Whether you’re in our Philadelphia location or across the state, we can meet you (virtually!) where you are.

    We provide coaching sessions worldwide.

  • Reach out to book a free consultation phone call, which usually takes about 20 minutes.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, answer your questions, and see if it feels like a good fit.

  • We use a HIPAA-compliant payment app called IvyPay which allows clients to upload a credit card, health savings account or flex spending account. We also accept cash or checks.

  • Molly is in-network with Aetna and IBX. Dana is an out-of-network provider. This means that you may use your out-of-network benefits for reimbursement for therapy. Clients are provided with a superbill upon request that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

To determine if you have out-of-network benefits, call your insurance company and ask:

    • Do I have mental health out-of-network benefits?

    • Do I have a deductible and do out of network payments count towards it?

    • What is your reimbursement rate (percentage) for medical billing CPT codes 90834 and 90837 (individual therapy)?

  • If you’re new to Green Fig, you can click on the Book a free call button anywhere on this website. We can chat, answer any of your questions, and see if it feels like a fit.

If you’re a current client, you can request appointments via email or through your Client Portal.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will require full payment

FAQs. If you’re new to therapy

  • Definitely not!

Some people wait until they are in crisis before reaching out to a therapist, but it’s not a requirement to start therapy.

It’s enough to just want clarity, support, or tools for living more fully.

Some common reasons people start therapy include:

    • you feel low-level anxiety, overwhelm, or “stuck”

    • you want to improve your self-esteem

    • you’d like more satisfying relationship(s)

    • you feel tired of the ways you numb out

    • you’re questioning your roles, identity, purpose, or values

When you start therapy if you’re not in crisis, it actually can give us the chance to explore the deeper patterns a little more quickly.

  • YES, feelings like these are not uncommon.

Most people have at least some mixed feelings about coming to therapy. You may want to feel better but be afraid of opening up to someone new. You might worry about being judged or don’t know if you can handle the emotions that might come up.

Therapy is actually a perfect place to bring attention to feelings like these.  We offer a safe space for you to just be curious about your thoughts, feelings, fears, and longings without judgment.  Listening to whatever is arising for you in the moment is a great start to learning more about your relationship to yourself and what you need.

  • That’s okay. We’re here to be curious with you and to explore things at your pace. Questions guide our work and can help you to open up or go deeper with thoughts or feelings.

  • It’s okay to be nervous and that’s a normal part of the process.  Our job is to help you feel safe enough to share your inner world.

We understand it can take time to build the trust needed to feel comfortable being vulnerable.

  • The first step is to book your free 20-minute call.

During the phone call we'll ask you a few questions about what brings you here, and we'll see if we both feel like it’s a good fit. We'll also talk about the practicalities like fees and whether our schedules align.

Next, if we agree to move forward, we'll set your first appointment.

We'll send you an email through the Client Portal to complete and sign the intake paperwork.

At the first session, we'll review the paperwork, and answer any questions you have.

Ask us in a phone call.
