Make space for yourself

Clutter isn’t just about having too much stuff, it’s the mental load that comes with it.

The piles you keep meaning to get to. The decisions that feel too overwhelming to make. The constant feeling that your space — and maybe your life — is a little out of control.

You might have tried to “just get organized” before, only to feel stuck, frustrated, or right back where you started.

At Green Fig, we approach decluttering differently. We don’t just focus on the stuff, we help you look at what’s underneath — the overwhelm, decision fatigue, avoidance, and emotional attachments that make it hard to let go or stay organized.

This is about creating a space that actually supports you, mentally, emotionally, and practically.

We come to you — anywhere in the greater Philadelphia area,

The cycle of clutter

Clutter can often create a cycle of stress: the chaos around you feeds stressful feelings that drain your energy and motivation. More clutter piles up. You feel stuck.

When you’re in this cycle, it produces cortisol and adrenaline spikes throughout the day — every time you misplace your keys, can’t find that shirt for work, or forget your kids’ paperwork because it’s lost in a pile.

Your inner critic might start in: "I'm lazy," "I can’t keep up," or "I’m letting my kids/partner down."

This only deepens the cycle. What may have started as a few piles can turn into overwhelm, avoidance, and not knowing where to even begin.

It’s okay if you don’t know where to begin — we do.

What is Decluttering therapy?

At Green Fig, we help you reset your space in a way that feels supported — not rushed or judgmental. Together, we work through the clutter step by step, so it becomes more manageable in the moment, while also creating systems that make it easier to maintain over time.

We make space for you to explore the feelings that come up as we go. This is the therapy part of Decluttering therapy. Bringing awareness to what’s underneath your patterns is the first step to creating long-term change.

This isn’t just about clearing things out — it’s about changing your relationship with your space so it actually works for you.

Is Decluttering therapy for me?

For many people, clutter is tied to overwhelm, burnout, grief, avoidance, or major life transitions — not laziness or lack of care.

Often, the hardest part is letting someone else see both the space and the struggle behind it because of the fear of being judged. But having support through the process can also bring an enormous sense of relief.

Decluttering therapy can be helpful if you:

  • spend time looking for things you know you have but can’t find

  • feel like you’re constantly “trying to catch up” with your space

  • have a hard time letting go of items, even when you don’t use them

  • feel overwhelmed or avoid certain areas of your home

  • notice your space adding stress instead of supporting you

  • struggle to keep systems in place, even after organizing

  • have a big clear-out project that your just keep putting off

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

Decluttering can be a lot.  We’re here to lighten the load.

Ways we can support you

We come to you — anywhere in the greater Philadelphia area, including Montgomery County & Delaware County

Starter Reset

8 hours of organizing (2 days)
3 therapy sessions

GOOD FOR:
one space, lighter overwhelm

This is for you if you feel overwhelmed by one specific space, and it’s starting to affect your day-to-day life. Maybe a bedroom that’s become a catch-all, a closet you avoid opening, or a kitchen that no longer feels usable.

This is for when things haven’t completely spiraled, but it’s gotten hard enough that you’re avoiding the space, feeling frustrated, or not sure where to start.

The Starter Reset gives you support making decisions and helpful systems so clutter doesn’t end up back here again.

Full Reset

12 hours of organizing (2-3 days)
4-5 therapy sessions

GOOD FOR:
multiple areas, lasting change

This is for you if you move items from room to room, start but don’t finish organizing, or avoid problem areas. Often there’s a mix of overwhelm, indecision, and frustration — maybe even guilt or shame about the state of things.

You don’t have systems that work, and there’s something deeper getting in the way (decision fatigue, attachment to items, burnout, life transitions, etc).

The Full Reset helps you declutter AND understand the underlying patterns, so you can make sustainable change.

Deep Reset / Intensive

16-20 hours of organizing (multi-day)
5+ therapy sessions

priority scheduling + ongoing support

GOOD FOR:
when it’s way bigger than just clutter

This is for when things have built up — during a period of burnout, depression, ADHD overwhelm, major life transition. Or you may have lost a loved one and need to sort their belongings, but are coming up against grief, decision fatigue, or paralysis.

The Deep Reset is more hands-on, more flexible, and more sustained. We move at a pace tailored to you, with space for the emotional process, not just the physical decluttering. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and back in control in a way that lasts.

You don’t have to do this alone.

  • reduce the mental load that comes with clutter and unfinished tasks

  • make decisions more easily without getting stuck or shutting down

  • work through emotional attachments, guilt, or anxiety tied to your belongings

  • build realistic systems that are easier to maintain over time

  • spend less time searching for things and more time using your space

  • feel more calm, clear, and grounded in your day-to-day life

  • break patterns of avoidance, procrastination, or all-or-nothing organizing

This work isn’t just about your home — it’s about how you function within it. By combining hands-on organizing with therapy, we help create changes that actually last, both in your space and in how you relate to it.
