MEET DANA

Dana Marcus, MSS, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP

Hi, I’m Dana Marcus (she/her), a licensed clinical social worker who believes that therapy is about creating space to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build. I work with young adults, adults, and elders, and I know that while life can feel overwhelming at times, it also holds endless opportunities for growth and reinvention.

About Dana

My approach

I bring both lived experience and clinical training into the therapy room. I’ve pursued advanced training in adult ADHD, trauma, and integrative mental health, and my own late-in-life ADHD diagnosis has given me a unique perspective on both the struggles and the strengths that come with it.

I also understand the challenges of balancing life roles (being a parent, a professional, and a partner) and the cultural demands often placed on women that can pull them away from their own desires and autonomy.

I’ve navigated my own chapters of reinvention, including grey divorce, online dating, entrepreneurship and post-traumatic growth. These experiences remind me that it’s never too late to rediscover yourself or to create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

My clinical interests include neuroscience, integrative medicine, and attachment trauma, and I’ve grounded myself for over two decades in the practices of yoga and meditation.

I bring both lived experience & clinical training into the room.

My background

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t linear. I began my career in corporate environments before moving into schools and nonprofits, where I supported students, parents, boards, and underserved communities. That work sparked something deeper in me — a desire to sit with people one-on-one and support them through change in a more personal way.

Alongside my professional journey, my own experiences growing up in a family impacted by attachment and intergenerational trauma shaped both my curiosity about people and my belief in our capacity to heal.
